Avon Lyndon Mitri has been practising quality eye care for over 45 years. Within this time, she has captured the ability to master a personal and professional approach to each and every patient that walks into the practice.
Using her 45 years of experience, Avon and her team offer a multitude of services which include professional eye examinations, the treatment and management of low vision patients, and children’s vision- including vision therapy. Her team also specialise in contact lens fittings, especially in complex cases.

Comprehensive Eye Examinations

We provide a range of eye examinations. Having your eyes tested regularly can also result in early detection of a severe health risk. We aim to make clear and comfortable vision a reality for all our patients based on each patient's needs.

Visual Acuity Tests

This test is used to measure the sharpness and clarity of your vision. Testing both your near and distance vision using eye charts and different lenses we can determine how to improve your vision.

Frame Selection and Assistance

Based on age, we can perform a number of different eye tests on young children. These tests include: colour vision, learning disorders related to vision, coordination, image perception, eye focus and eye muscle control.

Contact Lens Consultation

With an eye health assessment, we can determine if you should wear Contact Lenses. Once you have been cleared, you will be fitted, and the particular types of lenses will be discussed to decide the best option for your lifestyle.

Frame and Spectacle Adjustments and Repairs

From time to time, you may want your frames adjusted or repaired. Our skilled opticians can adjust the bridge, nose pads and temples to ensure the proper fit to your face.

We have a special interest in low vision. Assessments are conducted and counselling is provided for patients with partial or full visual loss.

Drivers Licence Screening

Save time at the Traffic Department and let us do your Drivers Licence Screening. You will need to bring a valid Identification Document (ID) along with you. Your screening will be done in cooperation with the National Department of Transport to ensure acceptance.
